A fast-growing SME content marketing agency that delivers award-winning, data-driven visual content campaigns for a variety of renowned brands, but a strong presence in Travel, Metasearch and Finance. They are specialists in SEO, PR and wider content marketing that grabs attention and they promote an open and inclusive office environment where every employee is empowered to share their ideas. They are a relatively young agency but have delivered some innovative content for their clients which has helped them build credibility and thus grow the business efficiently.


The role is both exciting and challenging: you will act as an account director for several brands and lead a small team of content marketing managers to ensure you deliver campaigns on-brief with excellent client performance as per your vision. You will also collaborate with the CEO on the client servicing strategy for your accounts and put in place performance-focused key metrics that ensures long term delivery & value for your clients, exceeding their expectations. Although the remit of this role is not sales driven, you will be rewarded for new business introductions. In addition, the CEO is looking for someone to bring ideas that can impact the long-term vision and growth for the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Director - This includes client management, achieving performance targets and managing a team of 4 content marketing managers who deliver the campaign work according to your vision.
Leading the client servicing strategy for your accounts in-conjunction with the CEO that includes client on-boarding, setting key metrics and performance/strategy reviews, client growth and retention plans, client satisfaction surveys and resource/capacity planning.
Build and grow relationships with your clients, ensuring retention and identifying opportunities
Work with team members to ensure campaigns for your clients are delivered to an excellent standard.
Contribute to the long-term vision of the business on internal sales, marketing and product development


This role is perfectly suited for a strong Senior / Account Manager who is looking for the next step up in their career, focusing on client strategy and wider business / account growth input, whilst guiding a team of four.

Around 3 years experience in an account manager or client servicing role at a creative/marketing agency, preferably in content marketing strategy
You have a thorough understanding of digital marketing industry, including content marketing, PR and SEO
You can demonstrate past successes of client performance that delivered agency growth
You're an ambitious person and never want to stop growing and learning
You enjoy multi-tasking and consider yourself highly organised.
You love solving complex problems by being creative and thinking on your feet
