​Propel are extremely proud to announce our latest hire, Nicola Oates. Why so proud you ask?

At Propel we have always looked to offer a working atmosphere that enhances the skills and abilities of our employees. We want to help their careers and help them be the best version of themselves possible.

You may know that we have been growing quite a bit recently, and to ensure we keep a focus on our consultants and their skills we made the decision to look for an internal trainer. However, our search for that person unearthed a talent we were lucky to find.

Nicola joins us as our Head of People & Culture. A new position to Propel, Nicola’s challenge is our ‘people strategy’, focusing on employee proposition, learning and development initiatives, talent management and talent acquisition - from sales induction to leadership development, and performance management to engagement initiatives.​

After working her way from Recruitment Consultant to National Training Manager at the Adecco Group, Nicola moved on to become Head of Learning & Development at leading financial recruiter Goodman Masson. A few years later her next step saw her take on the mantle of Global Learning & Development Manager for recruitment juggernaut, SThree.

As you can see, Nicola has a profile that any recruitment consultancy would be proud to have on board.

We asked Nicola her thoughts on the new role at Propel, she commented, “Propel is a really exciting business and joining it during this period of growth presents a great challenge.
