Advertising Week Europe - London 2014
Date posted: 21st Mar 2014
It (only) took 9 successful years of Advertising Week in New York City before the world’s premier annual gathering of marketing and communications leaders landed in London. Now in its 2nd year in Europe, Advertising Week promises another excellent roundup of events.
Matt Scheckner, chief executive officer of Stillwell Partners which produces Advertising Week globally, commented: “The UK has spoken with resounding clarity and Advertising Week Europe will most certainly be back in 2014 at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly. From our daytime thought leadership seminars to a series of evening special events including the International ANDY Awards and a sold out live stand up comedy night in the Princess Anne Theatre, BAFTA 195 is now firmly established as the hub of Advertising Week 2014.”
And with 2014 the year of both #web25 celebration and Facebook 10y anniversary, it comes as little surprise that the line-up includes events such as News Knight, with Sir Trevor McDonald OBE, FACEBOOK @ 10 staring its very own Director of Global Creative Solutions, Mark D’Arcy, or The Future of Marketing, with speakers like Gemma Greaves, Managing Director at The Marketing Society.
With mobile rapidly developing in one of the key, if not the main, platforms for information, #AWEurope also brings into attention a series of workshops focused on the impact of this strategic touchpoint for advertisers and marketers.
Talking of Advertising Week Europe Special Events, one standout is The Guardian Leadership Breakfast, which will focus on none other than Edward Snowden and his revelations, particularly on how the leaks have impacted the advertising industry and nowadays’society.
