We are working with eBay as the sole agency to build two teams of graduates to be involved in an exciting project to improve the online experience of its customers. You‰Ûªll be given the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of how an online business works with the chance to progress your career within other areas of eBay once the project has finished. So what‰Ûªs the job all about? As true online pioneer in the e-commerce space eBay constantly looks at how to improve the experience of the users of the site. To achieve this they are undertaking a major project to build two teams of graduates to review where products are placed on the site by the sellers and buyers. The aim is to make it easy to find products for buyers but not too complicated for sellers. This is no simple task as it will directly impact the turnover. So to be able to achieve this the role will involve researching products, gaining an in-depth understanding of the site and how products are placed, liaising with groups to understand customers points of view and researching the best ways to improve how the products are categorised on the site.

So what do you need to be able to apply for this role? Propel has be instructed as the sole agency on this project so you‰Ûªll need to prove to us you have the skills for the job. The base requirements are that you‰Ûªll need to have graduated from university with at least a 2:1 and have a previously successful academic track record. We would also like to speak to you if you have graduated with a MBA, MSc or PhD. Whatever degree you‰Ûªve done you‰Ûªll need be a highflyer with the ability to be able communicate effectively to all groups and levels of seniority. In addition you‰Ûªll need strong team work skills as much of this role will involve liaising and talking through ideas with other team members. If you can speak French or German this would be a major benefit. If you can also speak Italian then we would very keen to hear from you as part of this role will be liaising with European contacts.

Degree from a leading university with 2:1 or above
Ideally but not essential French or German great if you can also speak Italian
Good analytic and research skills
Outstanding communication skills and powers of persuasion
Strong level of numeracy
Outstanding team work skills but able to act with autonomy
High degree of organisation skills and attention to detail
