Google Wave is back, and it's been opened up to the whole world.
Google Wave was initially met with great excitement by the tech-geek community when it was announced last year. The prospect of a live-collaboration tool with endless mashing capabilities was a tasty one indeed. The small hitch was that access to the application was limited.
Now that's not the case, could Google Wave start living up to early expectations?
Within the recruitment process there's great potential for a tool like Google Wave.
Collaborating with candidates on CV writing, interview arrangements, their portfolio, company research could all become a richer and more efficient process by using the tool.
Likewise, working with clients more closely on things like their job specs, interview questions, hiring strategy and internal policies could be enriched by collaborating in real-time.
The question is, will individuals be willing to ditch their reliance on email and phone in favour of newer technologies? We'll see...
