We love Digital Buzz so very much - it's a great place to catch up one what's going on in the world of digital advertising. The latest cool thing they've drawn our attention to is this rather interesting idea from Vodafone - pitching Lewis Hamilton against a "virtual car" made up of Facebook profiles. Facebook Places is naturally a fairly big topic of conversation at the moment. Bringing a location-based social service in the Foursquare mould, but applying it to a social network with in excess of 500million users is sure to generate ripples. But aren't there risks with suddenly plugging your Facebook contact list into your location? After all, Facebook's been around a long time. We've all accumulated long lists of "friends" who might not really be the kinds... |
