When I was a wee lad, I'm slightly ashamed to say that I would regularly question the "point" of certain aspects of the national curriculum. Maths was a particular favourite for this treatment. In almost every lesson I would ask the teacher how I could possibly ever find a practical use for the abstract skills that were being taught to me. Well, doesn't life have a wonderful way of making you seem like an idiot in retrospect? Because of course, nowadays my job requires me... |

Well, it wouldn't be Friday without a YouTube video, would it? We tweeted about this yesterday but it's been so popular that it deserves some blog love too. In an ever-tightening market for jobs, what are you prepared to do to get yourself noticed? If you're in the digital industry, why not come up with a suitable digital solution? This guy did, and it seems like he's already getting job offers. |

Interviews - they can be stressful, there's no hiding from it. Not only do you have to go through the painful process of being grilled for an hour or so, but you also have to spend the days preceding the grilling revising like a GCSE student staring down the barrel of straight-D's.
